Voted

Wow... It was a great feeling to finally get out my ballot this weekend and cast my vote for a President of the United States.  It made me think about how grateful I am for the right and opportunity to vote.  A lot of sacrifice has made this possible and I am very thankful.  I must also say that I am thankful the election is almost over.  I typically stay out of politics because I am uninformed and don't have strong enough opinions about many things in regard to politics but I think the biggest reason I don't get involved is because of all the conflict and contention among people and parties.  Our kids have enjoyed parts of the election this year and the teachers at school have done a good job talking to them about the process of voting and the position of President of the US so I am thankful for that aspect of the election year(s) but I am glad it's coming to a rest shortly!
